Things usually get quite quiet as we approach the middle of the month (on top of the new taxation laws, GST, being implemented here in Malaysia), but it seems that smaller shows are still happening around Klang Valley.

A venue / space that constantly features and supports the experimental realms of art and music, FINDARS will be hosting a night of experimental cinema, curated by Canadian national, Fabrizio Gilardino, and will feature experimental music performance by Szkieve (CA).
Under9 presents starRo (JP)
Japanese producer / multi-instrumentalist, starRo (Shinya Mizoguchi), will be bringing his brand of downtempo / electronica work down to Kuala Lumpur this week at KL’s premiere basement venue, Under9. starRo will be performing alongside our local heroes VMPRMYTH and KAIN from up and coming electronica label, AKHYLA.
Swims / Masharbiya Split Release Showcase

Hosted by the folks over at Chronic Crony Collective, the gig this Saturday over at Ruang in Shah Alam is a release showcase by 2 relatively new bands from Klang Valley. Masharbiya dwells in the emotive seas of rock, with hints of post rock, while Swims is loud and at times very loud. Both bands will be supported by Enterprise, Mutesite, Decades, and Mand Under Zero Effort.
Daighila Japan Tour Send Off Show
One of Malaysia’s most hardworking emoviolence acts, Daighila, will be heading out to Japan for a 10 day tour this May, and are receiving a proper send off gig hosted by the good folks over at Soundscape Records and Chronic Crony Collective. Daighila will be supported by post rock outfit, Reset To Zilch, Piri Reis, Kebulur, and Schloka.
