Malaysian singer-songwriter / electronica artist, Froya, recently released her new single, “Halloumi Honey”, continuing her series of naming singles after food (‘Fries In Cream’, ‘Dark Chocolate’, ‘Black Macaroon’). Unlike the actual delicacy – halloumi is a cheese based food thing originating from Cyprus – the single is quite far from being cheesy. It’s a little darker and more produced, compared to her earlier folk / indie releases, a style she’s been developing across several other earlier singles.
