Those of you who’ve missed Monophone 2011 about 2 weeks back would’ve probably heard about how fantastic the closing set was by Indonesian legends Naif. Those of you who did attend may probably still be buzzing at their awesomeness that night. Whatever the Naif boys were thinking that night, they disappointingly forgot to bring a stack of their wonderful new CD Planet Cinta to sell that night.

But don’t let that fact discourage you from tracking this album down though, for this is another must have classic from them. Decidedly mellow in feel and sound, it’s singer David’s songs that are the highlights of the album this time, with the Radiohead-isms of “Berjalan Di Bulan” and “Buta Hati”, topped off with a clever twist on the guitar riff of Smashing Pumpkins’ “1979” on “I Told U So”. Resident band genius Emil comes up with the album’s lovely first single, “Karena Kamu Cuma Satu”, which you can watch and listen to below. Don’t forget to check out their official website for more info.
