Malaysian experimental music rarely gets much coverage from any sort of Malaysian media (both the old and new types). But with Malaysian experimental collective Space Gambus Experiment announcing a new album coming out this year, we thought we’d share with you this new video (complete with mimes!) from their recent Kingdom Of Rebel #2 lab/project held at Balai Seni Lukis Negara about 2 weeks back.
Yes, we’ll be the first to admit that this won’t be for everyone, but if you’re one of those tuned in to the frequencies of John Cale (or Goh Lee Kwang, for a more local reference), then this bunch of boys and girls should definitely tickle your fancy.
