It’s cheap movie Wednesday again for us Malaysians, so it’s time for us to recommend something worthwhile for you to watch, and this time it’s the new Duncan Jones (aka son of David Bowie) movie called Source Code, starring Jake Gyllenhall and Michelle Monaghan. Those of you who are fans of Mr Jones’ debut, Moon, will not be disappointed, as even though this is his mainstream debut, it’s a film that dwells around almost similar issues as that heady sci-fi debut, but just amped up with a few more action scenes, and a bit more emotional warmth for that mass appeal (never a bad thing to have).

Usually we’ll post a trailer as well, but for this one we think the trailer shows you too much and will spoil your enjoyment of the movie. So you’ll just have to take our word for it (or Google the trailer – but don’t say we didn’t warn you!) and make sure you catch it in the cinema, and experience one of the year’s best mainstream movies the way it’s meant to be seen, on the big screen.
