Malaysian singer-songwriter, Brendan de Cruz, has released a minimal yet emotional music video for the song “I Don’t Want to Need You” featuring Melani Delilkan, off of his Even So EP from last year. Despite its self professed low budget, the video, shot and directed by Ian Tai, reveals tender out-of-focus vignettes of the musician; setting tone for the song well with these intimate close-up shots. A common name amongst popular singer-songwriter circuits like Merdekarya and Gaslight Café, Brendan de Cruz is an emerging artist well worth checking out.
