Singapore-based electronic music producer and DJ, Intriguant dropped a music video on us last week ahead of the launch of eagerly-awaited EP Recluse, which launches in January. The lead single “Chemistry” receives a video directed by Joant Ubeda that illustrates a dark underbelly narrative which complements the laid-back yet somewhat ominous soundscapes of the track.
“Chemistry” offers us a glimmer of what Intriguant (real name Louis Quek) has been brewing and readies the appetite for his 10-track debut EP, which will also feature guest spots from the likes of Charlie Lim, Tim De Cotta, Ginny Bloop, Omar Kenobi and KATØ.
Recluse comes out on 6th January 2017. Digital pre-orders are available through Singaporean audio-visual collective SYNDICATE’s website. For those who live or will be heading across the causeway, the album launch will take place at Esplanade Annexe Studio on 7th January 2016.
