Raw and stripped down acoustic, independent folk singer-songwriter Meor is truly a veteran, writing and performing Malay songs in the local art scene from as early as 1984. Also popularly known as a busker, he is also often seen, or rather heard on the streets near Central Market, singing honest and heartfelt poetry to passers by. His performances are sometimes backed by similarly inclined musicians, often with curious instruments such as the Djembek and digeridoo.
Captivating and thought-provoking, his performances deliver a repertoire of soft ballads to energetic romps with distinctively deep, husky and strong vocals. He recently released his latest album, “Yang Terlintas Di Fikiran” in which is a collection of songs he wrote over the last ten years.
