A solo project by Indonesian singer-songwriter Rara Sekar Larasati, hara released her debut 4 track mini-album ‘Kenduri’ earlier this year. The release starts with ‘Tembang Tandur’, a track inspired by folk songs written by indigenous farmer communities, which sets the tone of the release.
The release features Indonesian singer-songwriter Guna Warma, on the track ‘Akar Wangi’, which has echoes of Javanese pelog melodic scale running throughout the song. ‘Kenduri’ is layered with softly sung melodies, great guitar work, and shy ambient sounds, making it a beautifully quiet debut.
