Singaporean singer-songwriter Seyra’s 5-song self titled EP has been out since July last year, but we’ve recently been made aware that said EP is now available for free download from her Bandcamp website. The tudung she wears will inevitably invite comparisons to Yuna, but musically she definitely goes in a wee bit different direction than Yuna by mining a more twee and indie pop sound in some of her songs in addition to the current favourite Canadian indie rock sounds favoured by most people nowadays (Feist, Broken Social Scene etc). Check out her songs below, and then go be a friend on Facebook.
