‘Tam Tam Buku’ is the first single taken from White Shoes & The Couples Company’s upcoming mini album entitled ‘White Shoes & The Couples Company Menyanyikan Lagu2 Daerah’, which is set to release on 20th May this year (well, it’s today!). With 5 tracks in it, the band is taking us on a stroll down the childhood memories with the reworking of Indonesian folk songs infused with their retro pop flavor.
The delay-filled lead guitar protrudes throughout the flow of the track accompanied with vintage vibes and fine vocals of the guys and girls alternately, making everything sounds very sleek and catchy. Catchy tune with psychedelic flavor, that’s the way it is to describe it in precise. This song might sounds familiar to your ears as it is also called ‘Trang Trang Kolantrang’ in Sundanese (native language from West Java) and ‘Chock Chock Kundong’ in Malaysia, apart from being known as it is now which is in Betawi dialect (native language from Jakarta).
So now, buckle up, hit the play button below and enjoice!
