MY DISCO has travelled far from their early post-punk sound with “Collapse Of An Erratic Lung” in the early 2000s, to become explorers of sound evident throughout their discography.
The Australian experimental band’s latest single, “Folterkammer” translates to “Torture chamber ambience”. Should give you an idea of what it’s about.
The composition is dark, heavy, and a little unsettling. Compiled remotely, the band utilized elements from their last 2019 release, Environment, while continuing their exploration with unique percussion, dark FM synthesis, and industrial noise.
“Folterkammer” is taken from their upcoming release ‘Alter Schwede’.
